Praxistra is an independent Australian venture developing practical resources, assessments and tools for small businesses. We help businesses improve processes, choose technology with confidence and use AI responsibly.
Founder profile
Corporate depth. Practical application.
Praxistra was founded by Rick Collins, a Melbourne-based digital product and service leader with extensive corporate, business and technology experience.
Earlier in his career, Rick worked for Boeing and on NASA-related operations, and supported BP, the US Department of Homeland Security and international client environments. He later spent more than a decade with an Australian-owned multinational professional services organisation, progressing through senior technology service-delivery and digital product leadership roles.
His experience spans business systems, service operations, digital product management, process improvement, software and vendor decisions, knowledge management, automation and the responsible use of AI.
Through Praxistra, Rick applies that experience differently. The aim is not to import enterprise complexity into small businesses, but to translate proven disciplines into practical, proportionate approaches that owners, managers and staff can genuinely use.
Why I created Praxistra
Useful discipline should not be reserved for large organisations.
Large organisations can draw on specialist teams, structured methods and experienced advisers when making technology and operational decisions. Small businesses often face many of the same challenges without the same time, resources or internal expertise.
I created Praxistra to close some of that gap—to make sound business-improvement thinking more practical, accessible and useful for the people running real businesses every day.
